Before & After.

One of my favorite things to look at are 'before' and 'after' pic's.  Especially, when they turn out well and are mine :)
The best site for this that I've found, is http://www.betterafter.blogspot.com/
So, here's mine...
Before:

After:

The entire process took about 2 weeks.  30 year old brick soaks up a lot of primer,  I discovered.  There was some drying/curing time too.
We are thrilled with the results.  If I'd realized how much this brightens up and opens up the area, I would of done this when we ripped out the old flooring on the other side, and before we ripped out the carpet over the wood floors!
Now, just to figure out what to do in the fireplace opening.  For summer, I'm thinking some sort of flower arrangement.
I'd love any idea's....
Once I get that done and have it finished, I'll post pic's :)

We always used to put a large art print in front of the fireplace during the summer. You can easily change the print to suit you design mood. I like the white!
