Finishing things

 

This shelf was sitting in a box in the garage as we worked on the house.  I'd completely forgotten about it.  It just blended right in with the trim color.  It's so awesome when things fall into place with little or no forethought.  Makes me wonder if I try just a tad to hard when the first idea is usually the right one.  But, that's probably another post, lol.

My tank stand stands ready to receive a few desperately needed coats of paints.  Flat black.

 

I have a thing for houseplants too.  

These wooden floors were under a layer of carpeting and pad all gleefully ripped up a few months ago.  

We have no carpet in the house at all.  Sometimes, though, I think I miss it, but the feeling passes pretty quickly.

I'm excited to get more shots of what we've done around here on here.  I'm getting a better feel for this camera now.  Funny how *cough* reading the *cough* manual brings that along...
